International Conference on Anti-Counterfeiting Technologies (I-CAT 2009) is an earnest initiative formulated by Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT) focussed to eradicate counterfeiting and forgery through knowledge sharing among international community. Believing in its credo – ‘Envisaging a counterfeit-free society’ – I-CAT 2009 is a two-day conference-cum-exhibition on Anti-Counterfeiting Technologies slated on 28th and 29th May 2009. This solemn initiative is conceived and developed on the sidelines of C-DIT’s 20th annual celebration.
I-CAT’ 2009 is aimed to inform, educate and equip the target groups about various anti-counterfeiting technologies being practised to preclude counterfeiting or forgery prevalent in our society in the present digital scenario and to imbibe in them the importance of implementing such stringent security measures for smoother governance. Anti-counterfeiting technologies such as Security Printing, Security Holography, Biometric Solutions, Digital Security, Card-based Technologies etc. are vastly discussed during I-CAT’ 2009.

Unprecedented increase in counterfeiting coupled with international focus on diverse security issues have created an accelerated demand for security of physical and digital documents and secure identification measures. This conference is aimed at addressing the challenges and pursuing the opportunities to deal with security issues, through effective anti-counterfeiting technologies for the protection of physical and digital documents and secure identification of products, processes and services.
